Samsung announced the latest variant of the Galaxy S4 smart phone that has the ability of anti-air and anti-dust. Samsung mengumumkan varian terbaru ponsel pintar Galaxy S4 yang memiliki kemampuan anti-air dan anti-debu. Produk ini diberi nama resmi Galaxy S4 Active.

Menyandang sertifikat standar ketahanan internasional IP67, Galaxy S4 Active bisa diajak menyelam di kedalaman satu meter selama 30 menit.

"Galaxy S4 Active adalah tambahan produk baru dalam seri Galaxy dan sengaja dirancang untuk pengguna aktif yang mencintai alam bebas," kata JK Shin, CEO dan President IT & Mobile Communications Division Samsung, dalam siaran persnya.

Ponsel ini memakai prosesor quad-core 1,9GHz, RAM 2GB, memori internal 16GB yang dapat diperluas dengan tambahan kartu memori MicroSD. Semua itu berjalan dengan sistem operasi Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)

Ia didesain dengan bentang layar 5 inci jenis AMOLED yang mendukung resolusi full-HD. Baterai berkapasitas 2.600mAh menopang daya hidup ponsel ini.

Galaxy S4 Active dibekali kamera belakang 8MP dengan LED flash dan 2MP di kamera depan. Spesifikasi sensor kamera belakang tersebut berbeda dengan Galaxy S4, yang memiliki kamera belakang 13MP.

Meski terdapat perbedaan pada spesifikasi perangkat keras, tetapi ponsel ini membawa fitur unggulan yang dimiliki Galaxy S4, antara lain S Translator, Smart Pause, Air View, Air Gesture, dan S Health.

Dengan ini, berarti Samsung memiliki tiga varian Galaxy S4, yakni Galaxy S4 orisinal, Galaxy S4 Mini, dan Galaxy S4 Active.
